This
bridal headpiece is a romantic fantasy of feathers and lilies. A
dozen finely curled white nagoire attached to the white grosgrain base
form a cap across the back of the piece. The 9” corona of 24 organza
lilies with silvery stamens adds 3” in height; and the clusters of white
biots, coq and ostrich fringe add 2 – 3 more inches.
The
elastic under the ruched grosgrain will stretch from 21” to 25”,
at least, and the ends of the corona base are open if the elastic needs
further adjustment.
Total
length of the corona including the nagoire is 15”, depth is 6 – 7” and
height is 3 – 5”.
Although
I’ve placed the piece asymmetrically on the model, it can be worn at any
